Good news, everyone: service should be more reliable now.

This is my x86-64 substitute server for Guix. It builds binaries so you don't have to. It aims to complement the official substitute servers but not to replace them.

FAQs

Which substitutes are available?

Only those matching the latest commit on the master branch. Malicious projects such as Google's Chromium aren't served.

Are old substitutes deleted?

Yes. As soon as they no longer match master. Pull regularly.

Is everything built from source?

No. When a new package first appears, we'll try to download (and sign) any existing substitute from the official Guix servers. Only if that fails will we build it ourselves.

What's the catch?

This free service might—and sometimes does—break. One day, it will vanish without warning. Such is life.
